Road Tripping in a 7 Year Old EV

I took my 7 year old EV with 100,000 miles on the odometer on a road trip to visit National Parks and landmarks in the American Southwest. Spoiler alert: all went well.

Charging your Electric Car at an RV Campground.

Our Model 3 charging on a 50 amp RV hookup. Many hookups have more than one outlet you can plug into.

Quick story about a short weekend trip when we stayed at an RV campground and charged our car overnight on an RV hookup.

Driving 800 Miles in one Day – with Kids!

We visited the Grand Canyon during my kids’ spring break. Driving 800 miles in one day was easy thanks to Superchargers.

Family Trips in an EV

Visiting Redwood trees in the Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve.

We’ve gone on many family trips in our EVs over the past 8 years. This post focuses on family, not the cars. Main point: if you get an EV family trips will still be family trips.

Model Y Road Trip to Crater Lake National Park

Last week we took our Model Y on a short road trip to visit Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. It was a relatively short 350 miles one way, but long enough to get a feel for driving the Model Y on longer road trips.

Camping Trips in the Rav4 EV

The Rav4 EV seats 5 and has a large storage compartment behind the rear seats that can store everything you’ll need for a weekend camping trip. I’ve written two posts about camping with the Rav: One describes our first camping trip over 6 years ago, and the second post describes more of our camping adventures in Rav4 EV.
