Mentorship

We value mentorship as a vital tool that helps to elevate and promote the success of underrepresented students. We offer mentorship activities for underrepresented students in high school and college who may be interested in pursuing a career in science. Mentors include graduate students and professors with expertise in the Neurosciences. This mentorship serves two purposes: to introduce students to successful graduate students and researchers who overcame similar challenges and to provide positive guidance for young students to give them the confidence to believe in themselves and their capacity to succeed in education, science, and life. Among the mentorship activities, we will offer help to underrepresented college applicants to understand the application process and elements, such as Personal Statements, that are required for college and graduate school applications.
