Bilbao Airport (BIO, Aeropuerto de Bilbao) is the largest airport in northern Spain. It is located ~10 km from the city center. Direct international flights are available from major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Rome, and select North African cities. Flights originating outside of Europe may connect through major hubs including Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Frankfurt, London (LHR, LGW), and Amsterdam. 

Transportation from the airport to the city includes; travel by bus – Bizkaibus A3247 – which leaves the airport every 20-30 minutes; taxi (~25-35€); and rental cars available at the airport.
